Movie Night! Kundun
Come and join us for an evening of Buddhist films and social gathering at the Rigpa NYC center’s “Movie Night”.
On Friday May 30 at 7pm, we will be screening “Kundun”, a motion picture masterpiece directed by Academy Award Winner Martin Scorsese. It’s the incredible story of the world’s most fascinating leader – Tibet’s Dalai Lama – and his daring struggle to rule a nation at one of the most challenging times in history. Powerfully told and set against the backdrop of world politics, the film’s release created an international uproar! Featuring a striking musical score by composer Philip Glass this extraordinary film has been greeted with both controversy and worldwide acclaim. Experience it for yourself!
