PREPARING FOR DEATH

We are thrilled that Chagdud Khadro will return to give a public talk at the Rigpa New York City center.
The teachings on preparing for the transitions of death come from the foundational teachings on impermanence. If we deeply contemplate impermanence, we find both our priorities in life and the ability to face the death with confidence and power to direct our mind toward its highest rebirth. We also will gain a greater capability to help others who are approaching death.
Chagdud Khadro is the spiritual wife of His Eminence Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche. She met Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche in March 1978, married him in November 1979, and remained his devoted student for twenty-three years until the time of his passing. At the time of her ordination as a lama in 1997, Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche invested her as the future Spiritual Director of Chagdud Gonpa Brasil. Since Rinpoche’s Paranirvana in 2002, she has focused on maintaining the high caliber of Vajrayana training he had established. She teaches in the United States, Australia and Europe.
