BRINGING MEDITATION INTO EVERYDAY LIFE
A Dharma Talk with Dominique Side
If you’ve been practicing meditation, or just starting to practice meditation, how do we transfer the calm and serenity from the cushion to our daily lives? The practice of meditation is to benefit us throughout the day, but many of us don’t know how to actively and consciously make that transfer for maximum benefit.
Dominique Side will share with us tips and techniques to use throughout the day so that we can get the most out of our meditation practice, so that we don’t leave our meditation on the cushion, but we can take it with us. There will be open discussion and a Q&A period.
Dominique Side has studied and practiced Buddhism under the guidance of Sogyal Rinpoche since 1975. She began serving as a Rigpa instructor in the mid-eighties, and was appointed International Senior Instructor in 2001. Her specialist areas are meditation, ngöndro and instructor training. She is currently responsible for developing the training of instructors for Rigpa International. Dominique has taught Buddhism in secondary schools in London and has a Ph.D. in Buddhist philosophy.
