Often when we practice meditation, thoughts and emotions can take hold of our mind and make it difficult for us to meditate. In the previous workshop we used the method of shamatha with support to help us let our mind rest and find a state of non-distraction. Shamatha without support is said to be the best shamatha practice and consists of simply remaining in a state of non-distraction. In this workshop we will learn how to use shamatha without support in our meditation as well as alternate between the two methods (with and without support).
Open to the all. No prerequisite.
Dates: 6 Mondays, March 5 – April 9, 2012
